Pest Control Solutions

Pests pose serious risks to families and workers’ health, and your property’s safety. Pest control is as old as civilization, recorded as early as 3000BC in Egypt where cats were used to protect grain stores from rodents, or in 2500BC when Sumerians used Sulphur compounds as insecticides (chemical control), or in 300AD when the Chinese used weaver ant colonies to control beetles and caterpillars in their citrus plantations (biological control).

With eight billion people on the planet, our environments and pest infestation levels are far more complex and cause more extensive damage to households and workplaces

Pests have grown resilient. They reproduce quickly, grow resistance to some forms of pest control, and spread disease through contamination of our households and workplaces.

A study that covered five developed economies (USA, UK, Italy, France and Australia) revealed that businesses in these countries lost £11.8 billion in revenue in 2014 due to adversities related to pest infestation, that is, damage, closure of business, damage to their reputation, legal costs and costs incurred for pest control services.

Households and businesses affect by pest infestation experience reduction in the productivity due to time lost while undertaking and installing pest control measures.

he biggest difference is the origin of the active ingredient.

In the past, pesticides were developed to target the nervous systems of the pests. Unfortunately, those same poisons affected other animals and people, putting pets and homeowners at potential risk.

Modern pesticides target muscle groups, such as the mandible of termites. There is an active ingredient in these new reduced-risk products that is only activated by an enzyme within an insect that people and other mammals don’t have. Where possible, we use only eco-friendly products.
